Shepard Nevel

Shepard Nevel served previously as director of policy and research for Colorado Governor Jared Polis. Prior to that, he was managing director and co-founder of Aviriq, an environmental services company in Denver.  Shepard is the former president and CEO of LiveWell Colorado and former vice president of policy, evaluation, and communications for the Colorado Health Foundation.  Earlier in his career, Shepard served as director of policy for Denver Mayor Wellington Webb and as an assistant county attorney in Miami-Dade County.  Shepard has chaired and served on the boards of many civic organizations. He has authored scores of published opinion pieces and several plays, two of which have been professionally produced and staged. He is a graduate of Brown University and Columbia Law School.  Shepard and his wife, Anna Alejo, are the proud parents of three daughters.
